chapter 13 bankruptcy attorney37 How do you deal with a diffuclt attorney?
pmuzzy58 asked:

My husband and I filed chapter 13 bankruptcy in 2006. I was working at the time as a nurse. I sustained a back injury while at work. I am unable to work at the moment because of the injury. Also, my doctor has not yet released me to work yet. My income was listed on the original court filing. I have asked my attorney to adjust our chapter 13 court payments. He just ignores any request. I have tried calling him, but he just ignores the calls, emails, and voicemails. Yesterday, I called his office and did speak to a Paralegal but not him. She did
forward my call to him, but he did not answer the call. I waited on the phone for more than 15 minutes. I am paying this attorney and am getting no help with my bankruptcy case.
I may have to choice but to fire him. Does anyone have any suggestions. Thank you for any answer.

Send him a letter by certified mail. Tell him what you need done. Ask him to call you to confirm that its done.

If he’s ignoring you, fire him. He’s not doing his job and you’re paying him money!
    Find a better attorney!

I hope you can pull through this!
